Department of B.Com, Faculty of Management, Invertis University, Bareilly organized a guest lecture on the topic ‘What Next: Job Seeker or Provider’ on 25h April, 2024 for all the students of B.Com (H). A renowned motivational speaker and Start-up Guru Dr. Harendra Pal who is also Superintending Engineer, CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow was invited as guest speaker.
Dr. Pal started the session with deliberation on what actually the difference between running a simple business and being an entrepreneur. He also discussed the importance of innovative thinking and open mindset in generating the idea of a viable startup.
During the session, he gave an insight about national and international statistics regarding number of students completing professional courses and the number of students went for their own startup. He also said that, it is myth that one needs job experience in market before setting up own business. He also discussed the different types of government schemes regarding subsidised financing in order to promote entrepreneurship in the country.
The session was very informative and interactive.
