Overview & History

The Department of Pharmacy at Invertis University plays a vital role in imparting quality education in pharmaceutical science and technology. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in accordance with the guidelines set by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The programmes are designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the field. The department also provides students with the opportunity to pursue research in various domains such as pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, and more.

At the undergraduate level, students learn the fundamentals of pharmacology and drug therapy, learn how to identify and evaluate drugs, develop an understanding of pharmaceuticals, and learn the fundamentals of pharmacy practice. At the postgraduate level, they gain advanced knowledge in drug design and development, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, etc. Students also gain a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, the social and ethical aspects of pharmacy and how to provide patient-centred care.

The Department of Pharmacy also provides students with opportunities to participate in various national and international conferences, workshops and seminars. The faculty of the department is highly experienced and works hard to ensure that the students get the best education. The department’s world-class academic facilities include laboratories that are equipped with modern equipment and state-of-the-art technology. The department also provides students with ample opportunities to gain practical experience through internships, industrial visits and research projects.

  • Mr. Aman Saxena (2017-2021) is working as Medical Representative in Oaknet Pharmaceuticals.

USP

The white coat is viewed as a symbol of caring, compassion, and service. “This piece of apparel serves as a link among all who practiced the healing arts and provide individualized care to patients." Invertis Institute of Pharmacy was the first to introduce a white coat ceremony in 2012 in the entire state UP region. Thereafter this event is organized every year to welcome our new student to the profession of Pharmacy.

Curriculum designed in a way that compulsory industrial or research center training is the part of the degree that helps in the placement of the students in corporate entry.

Invertis was the first in India to Introduce Hospital Training in B.Pharm which was followed by UPTU later and now by PCI.

Isolation, characterization, development and evaluation of phytoconstituent based formulation for diabetic neuropathy

Extraction and Isolation of phytoconstituent from plant M. alba was done. Characterization of isolated phytoconstituent was evaluated and development of nanoemulsion based formulation was tested for diabetic neuropathy. Results showed protective and beneficial effects of formulation against diabetic neuropathy.

Development and evaluation of a mucoadhesive microsphere solid dispersion containing cefpodoxime

Poorly water-soluble drug Cefpodoxime Proxetil is produced using solid dispersion, which enhances solubility and dissolution. The major goal of this study was to use the solvent evaporation technique to generate a solid dispersion of Cefpodoxime Proxetil in order toincrease its solubility and speed of dissolution.

Saraca Indica Leaf Extract Hydrogel for Wound Healing: Development and Evaluation

The goal of this work was to createa hydrogel from the leaves extract of Sarraca Indica that was mixed with several gelling agents,including Carbapol 934, Carbapol 940, and HPMC. The study's findings showed that both the medication and the excipients blended well with gelling agents and worked well.

Invertis University’s Department of Pharmacy prepares students to face the challenges of today’s pharmacy world and make inroads into the ever-demanding pharmaceutical field.

The Department of Pharmacy has an excellent infrastructure of international standards that creates a sophisticated research atmosphere. The department also has highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff, who are committed to providing an outstanding educational experience to the students.

Over the last 11 years, our department has grown by leaps and bounds. The University’s placement cell is in constant contact with the leading companies in the pharmaceutical industry and a number of top pharmaceutical companies regularly visit the campus for placements. Education is not preparation for life. Education is life itself.
