The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) is a four-year professional degree programme of teacher education offered after senior secondary.
It aims to prepare teachers for the elementary stage of education, i.e. up to classes I to VIII. In addition, the programme prepares students for a wide range of professional and academic options in elementary education including teaching in elementary schools with special orientation for government schools; pursuing post-graduate and research studies in education and working as teacher educators in institutions and University departments offering programmes in elementary education.

Candidates with at least 50% marks in the senior secondary or its equivalent are eligible for admission. The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other category shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable.
On the basis of Merit/IUCET/State-Level and National-Level Entrance Exams.

Apply the educational knowledge for identification and analysis of educational problems and reach out for solutions.

Develop interpersonal skills through a number of activities like classroom discussions, debates, and presentations of seminar topics by students followed by question-answer session etc.

Develop critical thinking skills through conceptualizing, analyzing, applying, and evaluating information collected from or created by experience, reflection, or observation during teaching-learning process.

Develop understanding of and select and use of learner-centric teaching methods, organizing learning experiences, and select and use of appropriate assessment strategies for facilitating learning.

Select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern ICT tools in the teaching-learning process.

Develop an understanding of different values, morality, social service and accept responsibility towards the society.

Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings by following the principles of collaborative, cooperative learning and team teaching.

Develop communication skills through presenting seminars before peer students and teachers and practicing communication skills through various activities and applying them for better classroom communication.
