ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The four-year integrated B.A.B.Ed. programme aims at integrating general studies comprising social sciences or humanities and professional studies comprising foundations of education, pedagogy of school subjects and practicum related to the tasks and functions of a school teacher.

It maintains a balance between theory and practice and coherence and integration among the components of the programme, representing a wide knowledge base of a secondary school teacher. The programme aims at preparing teachers for upper primary and secondary stages of education. B.A.B.Ed. programme shall be of four academic years or eight semesters including school-based experiences and internship in teaching.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least 50% marks in the senior secondary or its equivalent are eligible for admission. The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other category shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable.

On the basis of Merit/CUET/IUCET/State-Level and National-Level Entrance Exams.

Teaching Competency (PO-5)

Develop understanding of and select and use of learner-centric teaching methods, organizing learning experiences, and select and use of appropriate assessment strategies for facilitating learning.

Use of Modern Tools (PO-6)

Select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern ICT tools in the teaching-learning process.

Ethics (PO-7)

Develop an understanding of different values, morality, social service and accept responsibility towards the society.

Individual and Teamwork (PO-8)

Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings by following the principles of collaborative, cooperative learning and team teaching.

Communication Skill (PO-9)

Develop communication skills through presenting seminars before peer students and teachers and practicing communication skills through various activities and applying them for better classroom communication.

Subject Specification (PO-10)

Make use of subject specific pedagogical knowledge and skills for better classroom instruction and effective teaching-learning processes.

Holistic Development (PO-11)

Develop intellectual, mental, physical, emotional, and social abilities for facing the demands and challenges of everyday life leading to success in professional fields of work.

Recognize the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of educational change.
