Location: Parle Products Pvt. Ltd.
The Department of Management organized an enriching industrial visit to Parle-G, one of India’s most iconic FMCG brands. A group of 60 students and faculty members participated in this visit to gain practical exposure to manufacturing operations, quality control systems, and sustainability practices.
During the visit, students observed the complete biscuit production line—from mixing and baking to packaging—along with insights into Total Quality Management (TQM), in-house testing, and Parle’s commitment to operational efficiency. The team also learned about automation in manufacturing, supply chain strategies, and employee development practices.
The visit offered valuable interaction with industry professionals, including plant managers and quality control experts, who shared real-world insights and trends shaping the FMCG sector. Notably, Parle’s focus on sustainability, including water conservation, energy-efficient operations, and waste reduction, was a key highlight.
This visit bridged the gap between academic learning and industry application, helping students better understand the dynamic nature of large-scale production and operations in a real-world setting.
