This one-week Faculty Development Program themed on Law as the instrument of change. ‘Law is nothing but a predetermined set of norms followed by the people living in the society, infringement of which could lead to the sanctions imposed by the State’. This is how various jurists have defined law for better understanding of philosophers as well as laymen. However, it is worth bearing in mind that, with every passing second, society is evolving with the time which ushers the law in the society to be transposed with it. Hence making the ‘law’ as an organic concept which can grow with time. In this age of globalization, the world has entered into the twenty-first century which has led to many innovations in diverse fields like law, science & technology and social science. Such innovations demand regulation to be fairly used, consequently demanding legal eminent to ponder upon rising issues in the field of law and society. In the light of such demand of discussion the one-week Faculty Development Programme had shed light on important aspects of Law as an instrument of change in the society.
