World Pharmacists Day on September 25th is a celebration of every pharmacist, pharmaceutical scientist, and others who are part of this field. This day is celebrated to encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world.
This year, the theme of World Pharmacist Day is "Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems- Angdaan Mahadaan". This theme aims to present opportunities to increase awareness of pharmacists as an intelligent solution for health services to meet future needs health system around the world after COVIDF-19. The campaign creates awareness of its value and continued potential to improve health.
The Convenor of the event was Ms. Manju Bajaj and Co-Convenor Ms. Km. Reena. The Chief Guest and Keynote speaker “Mr. Pushpendra Suryavanshi, Branch Manager NSIC Limited (National SC/ST Hub)- Agra, U.P Govt. Of India, Under Ministry of MSME” of the event was invited. The event began with an Inaugural session with Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lightening. The Vice Chancellor Prof. YDS Arya Sir and Dean Engineering and Technology Dr. R.K Shukla, Sir, Principal Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Archana Mehrotra Ma’am and HOD of Pharmacy Mrs. Surabhi Sharma Ma’am addressed the student and Pharmacist oath taken by the students. The white coat signified the ideology of Pharmacist and medicine based on sound scientific principles and research. He emphasized that the students have entered a noble profession in an institution built on noble values and were about to receive their white coats from Dignitaries. The students were informed about the responsibly that comes with it and their role in health care sector and contribution towards Nation building. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of committing themselves to excellence, not only in the scientific and technical areas of medicine but also in its humanitarian aspects and also give them many ways to start up their own business.
We have also organized two exciting competitions for our students:
1. Poster Presentation on Organ Donation Awareness for 1st year student.
2. Skit/Drama/Nukkad Natak competition on Common disease/Disorder, precautionary measures and Patient counselling for our senior students.
