The Department of B.Com, Faculty of Management, Invertis University, Bareilly, organized an Awareness Program on “Unlocking Digital Doors: Exploring the World of Online Courses” on 12th September 2025 for the students of B.Com (H) and B.Com (2nd & 3rd Year). The program aimed to familiarize students with the rapidly growing ecosystem of online learning and its role in shaping academic excellence and career growth.
The session revolved around three major themes:
- Opportunities in Digital Learning – Exploring global and national platforms for skill development.
- Selection & Planning – Identifying suitable courses and aligning them with academic schedules.
- Career Advancement – Utilizing online certifications for internships, higher education, and employment.
The resource person, Dr. Mohnish Kumar (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Management), shared insightful strategies on leveraging online courses to acquire industry-relevant skills and stay aligned with emerging trends. He highlighted practical approaches for time management, platform evaluation, and effective integration of digital learning with academics.
The interactive session enabled students to raise questions on recognition of certifications, balancing online learning with coursework, and aligning credentials with career goals. Dr. Kumar addressed these with practical examples, inspiring students to embrace online learning as a valuable complement to their formal education.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. YDS Arya (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Manish Gupta (Dean, Faculty of Management), and Dr. Dheeraj Gandhi (Head, Department of B.Com), with active support from faculty members including Dr. Nitin Sareen, Mr. Ravi Verma, and Dr. Manmohan Bansal. The program proved highly informative and motivating, encouraging students to unlock new opportunities through digital education.
