On 8th October 2024, the students of B.Com (H) (3rd Year) of Invertis University, Bareilly had the opportunity to
visit Patanjali Food & Herbal Park Haridwar, one of the leading FMCG companies in India which produces cosmetics,
ayurvedic medicine, personal care and food products. This visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to
industrial operations and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications.
The industrial visit was jointly organized by B.Com Department and Corporate Resource Centre of Invertis University,
Bareilly. It included 50 students, who were eager to gain insights into the functioning of a major industry and to
understand how theoretical knowledge is applied in a professional environment. Students were accompanied by two
faculty members Mr. Vivek Gupta and Ms. Anamika Sen.
Upon arrival, the students were greeted by Patanjali Ayurveda’s Mr. Gaurav (Zonal Head, HR) and Mr. Shubham Jai Singh
(Assistant Manager, HR), who gave a detailed presentation on the company’s history, its mission, vision, and current
market position. This was followed by a brief overview of their product lines and the services they offer.
The students were taken on a guided tour of the different departments viz. packaging, production assembly, quality
assurance lab etc. where they observed various stages of production. Later, Mr. Singh explained the function of each
machine, the role of automation, and how different materials are processed to create the final product.
Students had the chance to interact with engineers and supervisors, who explained their roles and shared experiences
of working in the industry. This interaction provided valuable insights into the skills and knowledge required to
excel in the field.
A question & answer session was held at the end of the visit, where students asked about the challenges faced by the
Patanjali Ayurveda, career opportunities, and how the company is adapting to technological advancements and industry
competition.
The industrial visit was an enriching experience for the students as it provided a practical understanding of how
theories taught in the classroom are implemented in the real world. The insights gained from this visit will surely
assist them in their future academic and professional endeavours. The department looks forward to organize more such
industrial visits to help students enhance their learning and stay updated with industry trends.
